AEG MEDIA ENTERS THE FIGHT TO SAVE BRISTOL BAY
(Merlin, Ore., Jan. 23, 2008) Northern Dynasty of Canada partnered with Anglo-American of London plan to build North America’s largest open-pit gold and copper mine in the Bristol Bay area of Alaska. AEG Media, The Angling Exploration Group, a media production company specializing in adventure fly-fishing entertainment, works against the two large foreign mining companies to educate the masses and stop the destruction before it begins.
Trout Unlimited, Federation of Fly Fishers and Sportsman’s Alliance for Alaska have been the leaders in the conservation effort to save the world’s most productive salmon and trout waters. AEG Media is proud to support that effort by providing unrestricted education and Bristol Bay specific merchandise sales through their third annual film tour.
AEG Media’s Fly Fishing Film Tour will be showing Felt Soul Media’s “Red Gold”, Castaway Films “Equilibrium” and Fly On The Wall Travel’s “River Poets”; both films are documentaries about the Bristol Bay mining threat and their dedication to its conservation. Bristol Bay merchandise will also be available for purchase at the shows. Proceeds from the sale of Bristol Bay gear will be donated to the intense efforts to save Bristol Bay. There will also be conservation group representatives present at the shows with information on the mining threat and how you can help.
The 2008 Fly Fishing Film Tour is presented by Loop Fly Tackle and Adventures. Official and Major sponsors include Patagonia, Costa Del Mar, Scientific Anglers, Volvo, Brunton, Gerber, RO Drift Boats, Rising, Loon, The Drake, Vosseler and Big Sky Inflatables.
The tour showcases some of fly-fishing’s most innovative filmmakers. This year’s tour will include highlights of films from eight independent filmmakers including AEG Medias highly anticipated upcoming release “Fish Bum I: Mongolia – River Wolf”, “Castaway Films – Equilibrium”, “Double Haul Productions – Reel Time”, “Fly On The Wall Travels – River Poets”, “Roll Cast Productions – Fishizzle”, “Beaver Hill Productions – 4 Seasons of Steelhead”, “Beattie Outdoor Productions – Slovenia” and “Felt Soul Media - Red Gold”.
