Rising Enters a Three-Year Commitment with AEG Media as their Equipment Sponsor
Portland, OR (November 27, 2007)—Over the next three years Rising has committed to be the Equipment Sponsor for AEG Media in both the film production series and the Fly Fishing Film Tour.
Rising was started in 2004 by Dylan and Erin Rothwell. Dylan had previously worked at William Joseph, and Erin was coming off years in the Outdoor Education field including stints with NOLS. The initial focus was to design products "that improve the fishing experience," which is why that phrase has become our tag line. This meant taking a critical look at the gear our friends and we were using on the water. Such reflection led to design changes in women's technical jackets, and every fishing tool available. Over the last four years, Rising tools have consistently won fans and awards for their design and quality, an acknowledgment that the designs were solid and made fishing easier for anglers of all styles. After four years Rising is still small and lean and eager to design new gear that improves the fishing experience.
AEG is dedicated to using Rising’s gear, over the next three years, in all film productions as well as promoting their product line on the film tour.
AEG Media is an adventure media company based in Merlin, OR whose enterprise includes an annual film tour event and feature films.
